Fluoropolymer Coatings
Fluoropolymer coatings are designed to protect your machinery against corrosion, erosion and wear. They provide barrier or sacrificial protection for a variety of metals. They shield valuable components against, extreme temperatures, chemical solvents, high humidity, high acidity, wind, sand, salt, spray, marine conditions and other severe conditions.
The right protective coating can help you extensively prolong the life of your equipment, reduce your operating costs and solve a multitude of performance and production challenges.
Blue Armor SA offers industrial coatings that include unique, high performance products designed to provide protection from abrasion, corrosion and chemical attack. From high build elastomers and high gloss exterior finishes to wastewater tank linings and pipeline protection, coating systems can be tailored to your application. Blue Armor SA provides project management for small and large spray coating projects. Our professionals, along with our Alliance partners in coatings, can coordinate projects from buildings and bridges to process equipment and tanks in the mining and petroleum industries.
Blue Armor®
Blue Armor® is available in three types;
1. Standard
2. Hard Coat
3. Non-Stick with Teflon
Blue Armor® retains its bonding, barrier and abrasion resistant properties under full
vacuum over the entire pH range.
Blue Armor® is designed to protect processing equipment from chemical attack, abrasion
and thermal shock.
Rockwell ( R ) Hardness | 96 |
Maximum Operating Temp. | 180ºC |
Melting Point | 250ºC |

TEFLON®
PTFE
TEFLON® – FEP Non-stick coatings have excellent release characteristics and are frequently used as a mould release coating.
TEFLON® – FEP Non-stick coatings is more chemical resistant than the TEFLON® – PTFE coatings
Rockwell ( R ) Hardness | 56 |
Maximum Operating Temp. | 204ºC |
Melting Point | 260ºC |
PFA (Flouroshield)
TEFLON® – PFA offers the additional benefits of higher continuous use at high temperature and greater resilience than TEFLON® – PTFE and TEFLON® – FEP.
TEFLON® – PFA is excellent for a wide variety of uses, especially those involving chemical resistance.
Rockwell ( R ) Hardness | 60 |
Maximum Operating Temp. | 260ºC |
Melting Point | 306ºC |
ETFE
TEFLON® – ETFE coatings offer extremely tough, abrasion resistant films with high tensile strength and is sold under the TEFZEL® trademark. ETFE is limited in temperature resistance and provides only fair release characteristics compared to TEFLON® – PTFE, TEFLON® – FEP and TEFLON® – PFA.
Rockwell ( R ) Hardness | 72 |
Maximum Operating Temp. | 149ºC |
Melting Point | 267ºC |

HALAR, RISLAN (P11) POLYETHYLENE
HALAR ECTFE
HALAR – ECTFE coating is designed to protect processing equipment from chemical attack and provide abrasion resistance and thermal shock resistance.
Rockwell ( R ) Hardness | 93 |
Maximum Operating Temp. | 150ºC |
Melting Point | 240ºC |
NILON – RILSAN P11®
NYLON RILSAN® – P11 is a synthetic thermoplastic polyamide coating. It provides protection against chemical aggressions of most solvents, organic acids, salts, alkalis and hydrocarbons etc.
Rockwell ( R ) Hardness | 106 |
Maximum Operating Temp. | 20 – 60ºC |
Melting Point | 184 – 186ºC |
POLYETHYLENE®
Polyethylene has outstanding resistance to both physical and chemical attack. It is also highly resistant to permeation by liquids.
Rockwell ( R ) Hardness | 65 |
Maximum Operating Temp. | 60ºC |
Melting Point | 83ºC |
XPS EPS EPOXY
ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE EPOXY
Engineering Polymer Systems products are designed to repair and/or maintain problems with a simple, straightforward, economical solution. Our high performance polymer system give our customers the highest level for quality that science and technology have to offer. Whether it’s a cracked pipe or tank or a break, wear or chemical attack to pieces of equipment or simply protection against damage, ESP Epoxy will solve the problem.

ACID PROOFING OF FLOORS
Our acid proofing is specifically designed for those interior applications where a smooth, seamless, dense, impervious finish is required. It has always been a logical choice in applications such as clean rooms, laboratories and electronic assembly areas. The easy cleaning and low maintenance of the system lends itself to dry processes in the food and packaging industry, dining halls, hospitals, correctional facilities and plant floors in the platinum-and petroleum industry.
RUBBER LININGS
Different rubber compounds exhibit varying degrees of resistance to chemicals and wear. We use only the best chosen rubber which maximise potential applications in the chemical and wear protection environments.
Typical uses vary from chemical plant pipelines, pumps, valve abrasion applications and rubber components such as steel plant rollers, the pulp industry rollers and moulded components. We also provide a highly skilled team to perform an on-site relining of holding vessels, chutes, dykes and trenches. Our autoclave dimensions for steam cured rubber are 2 meters and 5.5 meters long.
